TEN Impact Assessment Report
The Evidence Network (TEN) is an independent third-party company that assesses the impact of research and innovation enabling organizations. This report summarizes the findings of an in-depth impact assessment of Compute Ontario (CO) and its Consortium Partners conducted by TEN. The primary method used to analyze the impact of CO and its Consortium on Ontario’s ARC ecosystem was surveys and key informant interviews. The responses of over 1200 researchers, Consortium Partners, external stakeholders, and government representatives were used in this evaluation. TEN aims to identify impact in three broad areas: resources and capabilities (short-term impact), performance (medium-term impact) and ultimately socio-economic (long-term impact). Two layers of impact were identified: Consortium Partner’s impact on researchers, and Compute Ontario’s impact on Consortium Partners, external stakeholders, and the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade (MEDJCT).
